Acquiring former Google talent appears to be the motive behind Facebook's acquisition of Beluga, which offers a mobile group-messaging app. Currently the Beluga app works on Apple's iPhone and Android-powered devices, but that's likely to expand as Facebook integrates Beluga. Currently Beluga has only 1,971 Facebook fans.
